Religion and Atheist : A retrospection

My friends often tell me that the way I behave expresses that I’m atheist. Though I was not quite sure about the real meaning of it. So I searched, and found that “no believe in the existence of god”, but sometimes they often think that to be atheist is to not have any religion. That is the thing which strikes me the most. How come that a man can not have any religion? But what is religion I searched again. And surprisingly I found that whenever I think about having a religion, that is “a particular interest or influence that is very important to you”, and that was third among the definitions offered by the dictionary.

But what am I missing? The question strikes me again, can anyone be religionless?
The definition just mentioned is the whole thing that elucidates my way of thinking and is the answer to my last question as well. I’m not religionless, the only thing is that I have my own set of interests and rules; among them, some intersect with that of few religions and some don’t atall. The only difference is that my religion has only one follower and the religion of my friends has millions of them.

The question is even if I have religion, why don’t they recognize the same? This is actually a mask. They think only following a recognized or so called institutionalized social construction is the sole way to run our own way. They don’t realize that apart from the religion with millions of followers there are some people who maintain their own way. And if someone is not on the bandwagon, he is marked as atheist. They are having a veil of bigotry that only considers their religion as the ultimate destination for anyone, and only then s/he will be considered as a religious person.
Thus they attempt to channelize or we can say, try to give nomenclature to my religion with some of terminologies, which only delineate their religion, and declare mine as theirs. They forget that some rules of mine may intersect with that of them, or some rules of theirs may intersect with that of mine. [ Though I know that all I have learnt is from somewhere, and noting is mine, all is borrowed, I’m claiming something as mine, and that is not so appropriate.] The simple fanda is that they did not question the norms, just take them as it is.
They just know that promoting religion will add glory.

N.B.:- this is just personal opinion, may be i’m wrong. please bear with the poor form of writing.
